FAQs about costs

There are many Schools where some teaching is not included. Certain modules, such as Anatomy, Physiology, Pathology and Nutrition, which are vital to your understanding of how the human body works, have to be purchased at extra cost, and furthermore, those modules are studied at home, without the opportunity to discuss your learning in a classroom enviroment.

At the Aroga School all teaching, including Anatomy, Physiology, Pathology and Nutrition are taught as part of the course, and are included in the course fee.

All Schools of Homeopathy have a requirement that you obtain between 100 and 150 hours of clinical experience. This is gained by observing a Homeopathic Practitioner taking cases, and analysing them with you. Most colleges require you to attend clinic days, sometimes at the School, sometimes at any other Homeopathic Practitioner of your choosing. Over the course of a day you will gain around 5 hours clinical training, and it will cost you around £40 to attend this clinic, not including any travel costs you may incur. You can see that to gain your full 100-150 hours will add over £1000 to your costs.

At the Aroga School, all clinical experience is provided in-house, as this allows us to be certain of it quality. Furthermore, all of this clinical training is included in your course fee.

Most Schools of Homeopathy require you to buy a minimum number of books each year, totalling around £500 per year. The Schools can usually sell you these books. From our survey, most Practitioners stated that these books were little used during the training, and certainly not used very much after qualification.

We believe that this is a waste of your money. At the Aroga School of Homeopathy we offer a free library service to all our students. If there is a certain text that is recommended on the course, we ensure that there are free copies in the library for students to use. If there are certain books that you learn to love, then of course you should buy them. But we believe that our approach ensures that you only end up with the books you want, and nothing more.

Many Schools of Homeopathy offer schemes where they sell you remedies each month, the aim being to build up your personal pharmacy. However, it is impossible to know which remedies you will need, and you can end up with a lot of unnecessary remedies.

At the Aroga School we offer a free pharmacy service to all our students. While you are studying with us, you are able to access any remedy that you need for your acute and chronic cases.
